beyond the shadows

I searched to find
the origin of love,
for an endless Source
that could show me,
teach me,
what real love is—
unconditional, unselfish,
pure, passionate and complete love.

In my search, I came to a hill
and upon the hill, three crosses,
rusty nails on wooden beams,
unraveling life at the seams…
but among the three hanging there
one distinctly different—
a crown of thorns,
a pierced side,
and beyond the shadow of that cross
an empty tomb!

affirmation
affection
commitment
devotion
love

mere shadows in our world…

Look beyond the shadows!
Live beyond the shadows!
